Dani

Office Manager

Dani is originally from Portsmouth, a naval town on the south coast of England, and at the age of 16yr, made the big jump across the pond to Canada.

She lived in Saskatoon for several years, but eventually decided to move out to beautiful Kamloops with her husband, Jordan.

From a young age Dani knew that she wanted to pursue a career with animals. Throughout the years she has been in multiple roles focused on animal welfare, but for the past 5 years she has shifted her attention to clinic management.
She has taken part in numerous projects within Kamloops such as spay and neuter programs, low-income assistant programs, and community outreach and education.

Dani started with our sister clinic Neighbourhood Veterinary Hospital in January 2023, to not only oversee the clinic, but to put all her knowledge and experience into helping Dr Broschak and Dr Helmers, with opening Phases Veterinary Emergency Hospital. Behind the scenes Dani is a busy lady, always making sure daily operations are running smoothly, and all staff, clients and patients feel welcome.

Outside of work, Dani loves hiking, camping, yoga, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Michelle

Lead RVT

Michelle grew up in Golden BC, on a small farm where she lived with and cared for lots of different animals. She pursued a career as a veterinary technician by attending Old’s college and graduating in 2011. Thereafter she worked at Fairfield Emergency Hospital in Kelowna for the next 10 years, and additionally taught courses for the vet assistant program at the Centre of Arts and Technology.

In winter 2022, Michelle decided to move to Kamloops to join her boyfriend and his dog Bonnie to start a funny farm of their own, with sheep, cattle, alpacas, and llamas! She also made the move to Kamloops in order to assist Dr Broschak and Dr Helmers with the opening of Phases Veterinary Emergency Hospital, and move into her new role of Lead Veterinary Technician.

Michelle’s heart lies in the excitement and challenge of emergency medicine. She will act to build and manage our team of Registered Veterinary Technicians at Phases and will continue to bring her many years of experience and extensive knowledge of emergency medicine to her encounters with all patients that come into our care.
