PVEH is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. We are here for you and your pets when you need us most.
We are available for urgent and emergent veterinary care, as well as diagnostic imaging referrals. We are not a primary practice and do not replace your family Veterinarian. We will work closely with your family vet to ensure good communication and continuity of care. To access our care, simply give us a call. We also accept walk-ins and direct referrals from your family Veterinarian.

We're Always Here For You
Pet care when you need it most. We are always open and fully staffed. We accept urgent and emergent cases on a referral or walk-in basis, as well as referrals for endoscopy. We provide urgent and emergent care for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. We work closely with your family vet to ensure good communication and continuity of care. Emergency Pet Care Services
We provide urgent and emergent medical and surgical services for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. We are not a primary care facility, and all routine care and follow-up care will need to be completed by your family veterinarian.
Surgery
We have two surgical suites to facilitate emergency procedures, as well as specialty surgeries on a referral basis.
X-ray
We are equipped with an x-ray machine to aid in diagnostics
Medical Services
We are equipped to handle a wide variety of emergent medical conditions.
24hr ICU Monitoring
We are the only hospital in the Thompson Nicola Region to offer 24-hour intensive care and monitoring for hospitalized patients, 365 days per year. We are fully staffed with an on-site veterinarian at every hour.
